If you feel using an online pharmacy best suits your needs, please bear in mind these organisations often take a greater amount of time to process and deliver your medication than some of the local pharmacies. If we have sent your prescription to an online pharmacy, it is your responsibility to contact the pharmacy and ask they release your prescription should you change your mind after issue, and wish to collect the medication more locally due to time constraints. If you have not yet collected your medication, all pharmacies may undispense assembled prescriptions and release electronic prescriptions back to the NHS spine for you to collect at another dispensing pharmacy.
Need your prescription sooner?
If you use Pharmacy2U, you can choose to collect your prescription from a local pharmacy instead of waiting for delivery. This is called returning your prescription to the NHS Spine, which makes it available for any pharmacy to dispense.
Here’s how to do it:
- Log in to your Pharmacy2U online account.
- Find the order you’d like to collect locally.
- Select “I need it sooner” and follow the steps.
When can you use this?
- Shortly after Pharmacy2U receives your prescription (usually within 2 hours).
- Before your items have been dispensed by Pharmacy2U.
