Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with advanced clinical training. They are qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat patients independently, and may also prescribe medication for a wide range of health conditions.

Practice Nurses

Our nurses have undertaken additional training in Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease Management. They are involved in regular reviews of patients with long-term conditions. In line with national guidelines, we review patients with heart disease every six months, and those with diabetes, asthma, and chronic lung disease annually. They also provide a wide range of services, including: Blood pressure checks, Cervical smears, Contraceptive advice, Dietary advice, Dressings, ECGs, Flu vaccinations, Removal of stitches, Tetanus immunisations, Travel vaccinations.

Health Care Assistants

Healthcare Assistants support the clinical team by carrying out routine health checks and assisting with patient care. Their duties may include taking blood samples, recording vital signs, and helping patients prepare for consultations. HCAs work under the guidance of nurses and doctors, contributing to the smooth running of daily appointments and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well looked after.

Paramedics

Our Management & Operations Team oversees the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring that systems, processes, and resources are well coordinated to support patient care. This team includes staff responsible for business planning, finance, IT and data management, workflow coordination, and front-office operations. Working closely with both clinical and administrative teams, they help maintain a safe, efficient, and responsive environment for patients and staff alike

Reception & Administration Team

The Reception and Administration Team supports patients and staff by managing appointments, handling enquiries, processing prescription requests (written or online), and maintaining medical records with care and confidentiality. Working both front-of-house and behind the scenes, they help coordinate with healthcare providers and ensure systems run smoothly. Their role is essential in delivering efficient and responsive services across the practice. Please treat all staff with respect.
