We do not routinely telephone patients if results of investigations are normal. If you would like to know your result, please telephone the surgery and the receptionist will tell you if the doctor has seen it. The receptionists are unable to discuss the details of results, but can usually tell you if it is normal. If more discussion is required, the reception team are able to request a call back from the clinician.
To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
