Get Repeat Prescriptions in Early for Easter Weekend
Patients are encouraged to order repeat prescriptions early to avoid running out of medication over the long Easter weekend. Many pharmacies across Bath, Swindon, and Wiltshire will close from Thursday, 17 April, until Tuesday, 22 April. With prescriptions typically taking a week to process, requests should be submitted by Thursday, 10 April, at the latest.
A limited number of pharmacies will remain open on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday for urgent prescriptions. You can find Easter pharmacy opening hours via the NHS website or the ICB’s social media channels.
Most repeat prescriptions can be ordered online via GP websites or the NHS App. For minor illnesses or advice, local pharmacies also offer on-the-spot support and can now prescribe antibiotics for some common conditions.
